Group Booking Information & Terms & Conditions
We will do our utmost to seat/reserve your group in your requested area, however we are unable to guarantee this unless you have booked a private room (minimum spends apply). We have a range of areas and seating styles booths, low cocktail tables, share tables to high tops. Minimum spends apply to guarantee private function space/ & or roped off ‘designated’ areas.
Please ensure you advise us if you are celebrating a special occasion, or if you have a post engagement to attended and thus have specific timings you would like us to adhere to.
For reservation parties at The Argyle you may select from either our a la carte menu or one of our affordable and popular set menus. We welcome all parties of 20+ to order a set menu for ease and speed of service. We require that set menu’s, canapés or share platters are fully prepaid 5 days in advance. Please notify us of particular special requests prior to your party date, including children’s meals and cakes (cake-age is payable at some BHG venues). Please note as we operate and prepare food in commercial kitchen we cannot guarantee against allergic reactions.
Deposits / Accounts
All pre-orders are required to be paid in full no less than 5 days prior to your reservation date
- All bills must be settled in full upon conclusion of the reservation.
- Please note we do not split bills (one bill per table); however they do come fully itemised.
- Credit card or cash will be accepted for payment on the night (no cheques, Eftpos or EFT)
For ‘special’ dates/events you may be required to pay the entire menu/package price in advance (like a ticketed event)
Beverage Service options
For ease and speed of service for your group booking we welcome you to pre-select your beverage service.
- Full table/bar service @ all Bavarians!
- We are a fully licensed venue and therefore do not accept BYO
- A Bar Tab can be pre-arranged
- A Bar tab can be opened on the night (credit card is placed behind bar as security).
- Let us know what you would like to have served on arrival and we can have this ready for you, no waiting!
During the day The Argyle is family friendly! Please let us know if there are minors within your group. We are a fully licensed venue operating in accordance with the principles of Responsible Service of Alcohol Laws, which are Law in NSW.
- Photo Proof of Age Identification will be required for entry. Patrons may be asked to show legal proof of age at any time.
- Please note minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times and may not be seated at the bar.
- The parent or legal guardian is responsible for ensuring that no alcohol is consumed by / bought for the minor.
- We require minors to depart premises by 5.00pm (17:00).
- In accordance with liquor licensing law, the manager on duty is authorised to determine if a person is a responsible adult. All minors in attendance at BHG venues may be required to wear identification (i.e. Coloured wristbands or a t-shirt) to differentiate them within a group of people on licensed premises.
If a booking is cancelled, the deposit will be issued as a gift voucher or can be used for an alternate booking date. Deposits are not refundable. The Argyle will retain the deposit as the ‘cancellation fee’ if less than the below required hours notice is given.
02 January to 31 October: Minimum 48 hours (2) days cancellation notice (or deposit is lost).
01 November to 01 January: Minimum 72 hours (3) days cancellation notice (or deposit is lost).
Special Dates/Events – (NYE, Australia Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Anzac Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Melbourne Cup, Halloween, Christmas and all special events). Minimum five (5) days cancellation notice or deposit (ticketed/ set menu/ package) price is lost.
The Argyle Bar Dress Code
In order to maintain the dress standard of the Bar we advise that dress regulations are Smart Casual. No sneakers/ sports shoes apply.
Responsible Service of Alcohol
BHG actively promotes a Responsible Service of Alcohol. House policy prohibits us from supplying alcohol to an intoxicated patron. Intoxicated persons will not be permitted to enter any BHG venue. Service of alcohol is at the
discretion of the bar attendants, management and security. We reserve the right to refuse service and remove any person from any of the BHG premises if the relevant venue manager believes the person is intoxicated or is behaving in a violent, quarrelsome or disorderly manner or is smoking outside of designated areas.
BHG Management reserves the right to:
- grant or refuse entry;
- end the reservation at any time; and
- extend the hours of the reservation.
By paying the deposit, you personally agree to be responsible for this reservation; including any costs associated with the
deposit, consumption/cash bar that are incurred during the above reservation, in addition to any previously agreed beverage arrangements and/or to reach the minimum spend as stated if and as required. By paying the $20.00 per person booking deposit, you understand, accept and agree to adhere to the policies, details and Terms & Conditions outlined in this document.
An Electronic Funds Transfer can be done over the internet or at your local bank. If you choose this payment option funds must be transferred 72 hours – three (3) working days before the payment is due:

If BHG states a price on the Site in relation to a product or service, that price is just indicative of the current price and should not be taken as a recommended price for that product or service. No

A reference on the Site to any products or services offered by another person or company (“Third Party “) or to any Third Party web sites is for information purposes only and should not be taken as an endorsement or recommendation by the BHG of that Third Party or its products or services. If you use a link from this Site to a Third Party’s website, you acknowledge that BHG has no control over the content of that website and no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from a transaction that you may enter after linking to that website.
Limitation of Liability Arising From Site Use
BHG will take reasonable steps to ensure that Materials are accurate and complete. However, as Materials are compiled from a variety of sources, BHG does not make any warranties or representations regarding their completeness or accuracy. To the maximum extent allowed by the governing law, BHG will not be liable for any consequential loss or damage arising from any mistake in or omission from the Materials. BHG will have no liability for representations made on the Site unless confirmed in writing in relation to a specific project or engagement. If you select a product or service shown in the Materials that does not meet your performance or use requirements, BHG will not be liable to you for any alleged consequential loss or damages.
We collect information only in relation to making reservations and communicating offers, you consent to us using the information in this way You can ask for access to your information. We will not exchange your information with any third party. You acknowledge that we use tracking via Google analytics to track usage of the site to enable site improvements and we agree that this data will not be correlated with personal information of any kind.
Accounts, Payments & Refund Policy
The Argyle does use third parties from time to time to take payments and bookings online.
Roller Networks Australia Pty Ltd (“Roller”) provides The Argyle with booking software to sell event tickets, experiences, products and offers online. To book online you will be redirected to a SSL encrypted booking site.
You will be provided with an automatically generated email receipt of all monetary transactions made through Roller.
Upon making a direct payment for an online booking, you may be charged a processing and administration fee that is not recoverable under any circumstances.
If you are entitled to a refund, the amount of refund will be credited directly to the direct payment method used. In the event a refund to that payment method is not possible alternative arrangements will be made to deposit funds directly into any Australian Bank account. All cancellation and refund policies are provided to you prior to you confirming your booking and also in the booking confirmation email that is sent to you via email.
If you have a dispute regarding the amount of the refund given to you, you will be required to resolve the issue directly with The Argyle. The Argyle reserves all rights to reject and evict you from their premises at their discretion.
The Argyle and associated venues retain the right to refuse entry if they form the view that you are either intoxicated or have not complied with our terms and conditions of entry. Making a booking on the The Argyle platform does not entitle you to automatic entry. By making a booking on any of The Argyle sites you accept and acknowledge the risk that you may be refused entry for failure to comply with the terms of entry and conditions of the Venue of your booking.
